Cusco: Capital of the Inca Empire
The city of Cusco was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1983. Along its cobblestone streets, there are buildings made by the Incas, built entirely of stone. This magical city also has an exciting nightlife with cafes and restaurants to suit everyone’s taste.
Ten minutes away from the city, the imposing Sacsayhuaman fortress and other archaeological sites can be seen.
Machu Picchu was recently named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It is an amazing stone settlement in the Peruvian Andes, and it is the most important and beautiful legacy of the ancient Peruvians.
